Chris Beacom is a former professional baseball player, high-school English teacher, and successful coach. In 2005, he founded The Illinois Baseball Academy, a company dedicated to promoting the overall development of athletes from across the Chicagoland area. A former captain of Northwestern University’s baseball team, Chris also holds an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from DePaul University. Most importantly, he is the proud father of three grown children.
