TESTIMONIALS

Ole Miss Baseball, College Baseball Player, Student Athlete

Beacs is a very intelligent man who is organized and truly cares about the people he is around. Working with him would really help young people develop into strong leaders.

Probably one of the coolest characteristics about Beacs is his ability to relate to those around him. I played for Beacs as a college kid in my very early 20s, and although there was a clear age gap, I always thought of Beacs as a friend. He respected me and treated me as an adult, but at the same time was always willing to laugh and joke with me like a kid. Having a relationship with Beacs where I could be authentic and honest was something that I really am thankful for because it’s not every day you find that kind of person.

I’ve known Chris Beacom since I was a high school player, and he has been a great influence on me throughout my baseball career and beyond. He has a calm, consistent demeanor to go along with his wealth of knowledge and experience, both as a player and a coach. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed many long conversations with Chris about baseball and the challenges that coincide with it.

More recently, I had the opportunity to coach alongside Chris at Northwestern University and witness firsthand the impact that he has on young athletes. He's an excellent role model for young players!

College Baseball Player, Student Athlete, Mentor, Duke Baseball Player

I have learned life lessons from Chris Beacom. College sports puts so much pressure on student-athletes and most of the time these athletes keep all the frustration/stress inside. What I learned from Beacs is that everyone deals with very similar situations. Everyone feels this frustration/stress, but the main way to help clear your mind is to be able to share with someone. Additionally, being able to share your thoughts with someone is not something to fear or feel embarrassed about. I always felt that I was able to share my thoughts with Beacs if I ever needed something or wanted to get something off my chest. This has impacted my personal life as well. I now feel less internal, and I share what I am feeling more often. Knowing that I have someone in my corner that I can go talk to freely is an unbelievable feeling. It helps take away any frustration or stress that I may be feeling.

College Baseball Player, Student Athlete, Mentor

In my time as a college and professional athlete I have learned that it’s not always the people who spend the most hours working that are successful, but the people who have the best plan of attack and have found a routine that works for them. I think Beacs would be instrumental in instilling a process for young people who are looking to get the most out of their potential as a person and athlete. Beacs has utilized psychology and mindfulness to increase performance for years. He will be able to help people navigate the obstacles that take away from effectiveness both in sports and in life.

I’ve known Chris from the beginning of my baseball career in 3rd grade all the way through to playing professionally with the Tampa Bay Rays. We continue to talk regularly which has been especially beneficial during this time when I am rehabbing an injury. Chris is someone I have deep respect for because of the virtue-driven life he leads. He is someone I have found to be incredibly wise, honest, integrity driven, and forward-thinking. For those reasons, I lean on him for advice and guidance. In particular, I trust him because his wisdom is battle tested. It comes from lived experience as a college athlete, pro athlete, entrepreneur, and father. I am grateful to call him a mentor and a friend.
